Rooted in Death

I decided to use prologue 2 as my inspiration. I really loved the color scheme and the empty eeriness of the whole thing. The main theme of my picture is a witch lord and the curse of the black death (I'm surprised no one else used the black death as their inspiration). I used the quote from the script:

"These were no ordinary witches.
Their magic was not rooted in nature,
but in the power of death itself. Classrooms
teach that in the dark ages the black death
swept through Europe. A disease carried by
rats on ships. In truth, the plague was a curse.
A terrible weapon in the war between men and witches."

I really wanted to create something unique that the judges hadn't seen before and took advantage of the originality and creative interpretation criteria. I didn't want to make my witch lord an ordinary demon so I went with a similar style  to the one Mernolan depicted hers in. I'm really happy with how it turned out with the time limit on this contest and I think it gives off the feeling of the prologue 2 animation.
